"We want a picture of all seven cousins together to give to their grandmother as a gift for her 70th birthday," they told me. When my assistant (a.k.a my lovely hubby) and I rolled up to the location in Vaxholm, the two moms were very nervous! They were worried about how the kids would behave and if they'd even sit still for one picture. I told the moms they should go and have some wine and leave the photography bit to me ;). I took a lot of pictures on that glorious, sunny evening and I LOVE them all. In fact, I think it's best I split this post into two parts. These cousins were totally adorable and I think Grandma is going to treasure the enlargement she's going to get for her birthday!
Midsummer family get-together on Ingarö | Stockholm children's photographer
If you've been following the Jolly blog (and I sincerely hope you have!), you will, no doubt, recognise some of the faces in this photo session. I love documenting this family. This time round we did the photo shoot on the picturesque island of Ingarö. Despite my near miss with an angry family of ants determined to crawl into my pants, we had a fun-filled shoot with a happy, angelic-looking little girl. When you're almost two, all you need is your parents to swing you up in the air and some old teapots to play with. Happy days.
Swedish gorgeousness at Ulriksdals Slott
Although most of my clients are international, more and more Swedes are booking the Jolly experience! This super-smiley Swedish family of six met me at Ulriksdals Slott for an outdoor photo session a couple of weeks ago. I knew the minute they sat in front of my camera that it was going to be an easy shoot. The very first frame out of the camera was perfect! The four siblings had so much fun together and two of them couldn't stop laughing for the whole shoot ;). Mom and dad loved their pictures and have already decided where they are going to display their enlargements. A photo shoot is just a couple hours out of your day, but the memories and images will last a lifetime. Don't put it off. We can never assume we'll have a tomorrow.
Waiting for Midsummer
She's all dressed up and waiting to go and dance around the maypole!
