Autumnal Icelandic Family Portrait Session

Greetings! I’m playing catch-up with my blog after a very busy few months! It’s all good though, as I’ve been meeting and photographing some lovely families. One of which was this charming family from Iceland. We had an autumnal family portrait session at one of my favourite outdoor locations, which just happens to be in my ‘hood. There were very strong winds the day of our session, a biting cold wind, at that! I didn’t fight the wind though. I worked with it. Sometimes you just have to let Mother Nature do her thing and pace your shots, so that there isn’t hair constantly whipping across your subject’s face ;)

Family autumn session in the woods

Greetings! I can’t believe we are almost at the end of October already! How the heck did that happen?! It’s been another busy month at Jolly HQ with family portrait sessions, plus event photography jobs. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing repeat clients (always a huge honour) as well as lovely new clients. Today I’d love to share this family autumn session in the woods south of Stockholm. It was my second time photographing this fun, positive family, and I even got to see their Jolly portraits from our last session proudly displayed in their home :)

JOY FILLED FAMILY SESSION

It’s been a busy couple of months here at Jolly HQ, hence why I’m a little behind on blogging. That’s OK though, right? We do what we can, when we can. We don’t have to do everything all at once ;) I am very happy to share these images from a joy-filled family session back in September! It was my second time to photograph this lovely family and I just love how much happiness is in each shot :)

It’s such an honour to have a family re-book you, and it’s why I work so hard to capture images that will be loved for a lifetime.

Family vacation portrait session

Oops, I am way behind on the Jolly blog! September has been a busy ole’ month for me, but I’m here now and excited to share this family vacation portrait session :) This fun family was visiting Stockholm from Georgia, U.S.A., and decided to book a photo shoot during their time here. We met on a very windy evening near Gamla Stan and spent a fun hour together (you should know, all Jolly sessions are fun!).

It’s a curious thing when a photographer meets a new family for the first time. You have a limited time to get to know them and bring out the best in them. And yet, with the right attitude and banter, it can feel like we’ve always known each other.
