Autumn Family Portrait Session

I was so happy when this mom got in touch to book an autumn family portrait session! I had photographed them a few years previously, and since then they’d had another addition to the family. I also recalled the fun energy of the family and the fact that the mom never complained about anything, and was so appreciative of my time and work. All these factors combined made me so excited to meet and photograph the family again! :)

Sure enough, they had the same great energy, and the kids were so sweet and charming. I suggested a location north of Stockholm, and we just happened to get one of the last days of the glorious autumnal colours! Just look at all the rich colours in every shot! This mom is also wonderful at choosing clothes for her family sessions. She ensures she includes layers, a complementary colour palette, and lots of textures in the clothes. All important things to think about when planning a session outfit!

Beautiful Autumn Portraits in Stockholm

These portraits were created a couple of days into November, so we were fortunate to capture the last of the autumnal colours and leaves in our shots. The portrait session took place on an overcast day, approximately one hour before sunset. Although I would have loved some yummy, golden light, I still loved the light on this afternoon, which was soft, diffused, and flattering to the skin.

Much as I love autumn portrait sessions, I also love winter sessions. If you would love some winter portraits, either of yourself or your family, get in touch via the Connect tab above and we can get you in the Jolly diary!

Beautiful Professional Portraits at Home

Greetings! You know, sometimes a client books you for one job, say, a wedding party at the National Museum in Stockholm, and then months later, they decide to establish their own business, so they book you for branding images. That’s exactly what happened with this client. She is launching her own consultancy business, and since she was so happy with the party images I created, she reached out to book me for fresh portraits for her new venture.

This astute businesswoman was delighted that I could come to her home and create a series of images there. We discussed the feel of the images and her outfits, resulting in a professional, friendly, and approachable vibe to her portraits.

These days, many people are opting for non-studio images for their professional profiles and social media accounts. They want images that truly reflect who they are. Images that are natural and genuine, not stiff and over-styled.

If it’s time for you to update your professional or, indeed, personal portraits, why not reach out and we can chat. I look forward to hearing from you!

Confirmation Portrait Session

Greetings! I recently had the honour of being asked to do this confirmation portrait session at Riddersvik Castle. This young man’s parents wanted beautiful portraits of their son before he made his confirmation. We met on a summer evening, then walked and talked as I created some natural and timeless images.

These teenage years go fast, and a lot will change during this time. This young man hadn’t had portraits taken since he was two years old, so I’m glad his parents realised that he needed some up-to-date portraits! I always tell parents, don’t just have your children photographed when they are newborn or two years old. There are so many stages after the toddler years that are worthy of documenting!

One-on-one portrait sessions are my absolute favourite! That said, I also photograph couples, families, and extended families, headshots, etc. Don’t be shy. If this is something you’ve been meaning to book in, feel free to go to the Connect tab above, and we can get the ball rolling!
