Winter Family Session in Stockholm

The weather is beyond my control. Sometimes I feel I have to state that ;) I plan very carefully for all my sessions - finding out about the client, providing wardrobe advice, watching the weather forecast, and suggesting an optimum time for our session. Sometimes, however, despite all my planning and efforts, a BLIZZARD arrives four hours early!! And that’s exactly what happend on this winter family session in Stockholm!

I left my home on this cold winter’s morning, confident the weather would hold. Half-way to our portrait session though the wind picked up and a blizzard started! After meeting at the location, the family and I decided to go ahead, and I worked as fast as I could to get beautiful winter images! Once the session was over (winter sessions are shorter than usual), we all bundled into a local cosy cafe and had some steaming hot chocolate. And now this gorgeous family have unique winter portraits to display in their home :)

Autumn Family Session in Woods

I could not believe this stunning location when I rocked up to the family’s home, which backed onto a gorgeous, peaceful forest! Talk about my kinda place! No one around, just us and nature. Lots and lots of gorgeous, unspoilt nature. I was in my element :) This autumn family session session in the woods moved FAST! Two little boys full of energy, happily exploring their surroundings! If I could photograph everyone outdoors, I probably would. Nature is the best backdrop, in my humble opinion :)

Autumn Outdoor Familly Session

It’s been one of the busiest autumns on record here at Jolly HQ! I’ve not only been busy with family sessions, but also corporate work, actor headshots, and events! The autumn outdoor family sessions this year, however, have been particularly colourful! Everyone has been thoughtful in their colour palette choices, plus we had an incredibly colourful autumn here in Stockholm! This is why I love shooting outdoors, you get so much variety, and being in nature just makes everyone feel more relaxed :)

Before each session, I explain to the parents that the most important thing to keep in mind is the energy they bring to the session. If the parents are calm, easy-going, and trust me to do my job, then the kids will inevitably relax and we can all have a jolly good session! See what I did there? ;) These laid-back parents certainly brought the fun and relaxed energy - just the way I like it - and look at all the happy images we got!

Lifestyle Baby Session in Stockholm

Picture this, you’ve just had a beautiful baby. You’re tired and your body hurts. All you want to do is stay home and enjoy your new bundle of joy, AND have beautiful pictures of this fleeting time together. Well, that’s where I come in… I turn up at your home with calm, positive energy and we have a relaxed lifestyle baby session! All you have to do is sit back and dote on your little baby :)

One day, this baby will want to see pictures of his first home and who was around him then, not to mention, marvel at how small he once was. Imagine having memories like this of an ever-so-fleeing stage of life. They are utterly priceless.
