Gorgeousness x 3

These three brothers were ADORABLE.   They were super polite and went along with all my suggestions.  We did the shoot in a nearby woods.  The boys love trees and exploring, so it was perfect territory for them.

This turned out to be my last shoot of the season.  I had several more in my calendar, but due to a personal tragedy I have had to postpone them.  I will be taking a little sabbatical now for a while, but I hope to be back here posting more pictures in 2015.  I wish you all a happy and safe Christmas and New Year xoxo.

Happy or moody portraits? I'll take both, thank you very much

Do I believe portraits of children always have to be colorful and happy?  No, absolutely not.  Any parent will tell you that their children are not always smiling and jumping for joy.  Children can be serious, pensive, moody, cranky, over-tired, under-stimulated, you name it.  And that's OK.  It's OK if they don't feel like smiling for the camera.  I'd much rather get a genuine serious look than a forced cheesy smile.  When my kids grow up I want to remember all their expressions because there is beauty in every single one of them.
